This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit PiikoPlay (the “website”, “we”, “us”), how it is used and what choices you have. Information we collect

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our hosting server and some plugins automatically record technical information, including:

  • your IP address,
  • browser type and version, operating system and device type,
  • the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit and the page that referred you,
  • basic performance and error information.

This information is used to deliver the website, keep it secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

Information you give us

  • Contact form and email: your name, email address and the content of your message, used only to answer you.
  • Account (optional): if you register or log in, we store your username, email address and profile information. If you choose to sign in with a social account (for example Google or Facebook, where this option is offered), we receive basic profile information from that provider as permitted by your settings there.
  • Comments and ratings: if you leave a comment or rate a game, we store what you submit and technical data such as your IP address to prevent spam and repeated votes. Comment authors’ email addresses may be checked against the Gravatar service to show a profile picture.

Information stored in your browser

Some features work entirely in your own browser using local storage, without sending the data to us: your favorite games (when you are not logged in), your recently played games and your dark/light display preference. You can remove this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for PiikoPlay.

Cookies and similar technologies

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (provided by Google) to understand how visitors use the website — for example which games are popular and which pages load slowly. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as your IP address, device and browser details and the pages you visit. We use this information in aggregated form to improve PiikoPlay. Games and other third-party content

The games on PiikoPlay are developed and hosted by third parties (game developers, studios and game distribution platforms). When you start a game, it is loaded inside an embedded frame from the provider’s servers. That provider may receive your IP address and browser information, may use cookies or local storage (for example to save your game progress) and may show its own advertising inside the game. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.

The website may also load content from other third parties, such as web fonts from Google Fonts, social media feeds or sharing features. When these load, the provider receives your IP address.

Log files

Our hosting provider stores server log files that contain your IP address, the requested page, date and time, browser information and the result of the request. Logs are used for security and troubleshooting and are deleted automatically after a limited period.

Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on these legal bases: to provide the website and features you request (contract / legitimate interest), to keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest), for analytics and personalized advertising (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time), and to meet legal obligations.

Moroccan data protection law

PiikoPlay is operated from Morocco. Personal data is processed in accordance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. Under this law you have the right to access, rectify and object to the processing of your personal data, which you can exercise by emailing contact@piikoplay.com. You may also contact the Moroccan data protection authority, the CNDP (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel), at www.cndp.ma.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for: messages until your enquiry is resolved and for a reasonable time afterwards, account data until you delete your account, and server logs and analytics data for the limited periods set by our providers. Data may be kept longer if required by law.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that help us run the website (for example hosting, analytics, email delivery and advertising partners), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of PiikoPlay and its users. Some of these providers are located outside your country; where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

Children’s privacy

PiikoPlay is a general-audience website and offers games suitable for a wide range of ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in some EU countries) without parental consent. Children do not need to register or share personal information to play. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including an encrypted HTTPS connection, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the website, its features or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
